Leaves are beginning to drift to the ground and the fall shows are rapidly approaching.  Little Barn will be attending New York Sheep & Wool in Rhinebeck, N.Y. and SAFF in Fletcher, N.C.  Some of the shows haven't been as busy in the last 3 or 4 years.  This fall we hope to see a lot of folks attending and celebrating all things fleece and fiber.  Let's show that hurricanes & disgusting politics cannot keep sheep & fiber people down! I had every intention of keeping a more regular blog this year.  Yeah.....that didn't happen.  Somewhere around the last of April we lost our internet service and spent almost 6 weeks trying to resolve the issue.  Honestly, I've had dental surgery that was easier than trying to get technical support from a cable company.  4 service appointments that ended in "no shows", more calls than I can count, emails to corporate headquarters, completely re-cabling from the road and inside the house.  The problem?  We have a gate on our driveway.  Evidently, according to most utility services you are no longer...

Winter 2016 is pretty much over.....such as it was.  Unseasonably warm with intermittent days of cold.  Sort of like riding a temperature roller coaster.  After the drought last year, we had hoped to be able to re-seed the pastures but the early spring temps haven't given us that opportunity.  Here's hoping that nature can repair itself and we have lush grass for the spring lambs.  Winter was spent gathering eggs.  These silly birds of ours didn't realize they were supposed to slow down the egg production during winter.  Every month the egg tally has grown by 100.  (Not kidding about...
